Purpose
- The Department of Police Oversight and Community Safety, Western Cape Government (WCG) has 2 (two) exciting employment opportunities for suitable individuals to render administrative support services to the component for the enhancement and promotion of Community Police Relations.
Requirements
- A grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of the following:
- Clerical duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics;
- Understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service;
- Working procedures in terms of the working environment;

Responsibilities
- Render general clerical support services for the sub-directorate: Record, organise, store, capture and retrieve correspondence and data (line function), update registers and statistics;
- Provide supply chain clerical support services within the component: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to procurement of goods and services, obtain quotations and complete procurement forms for the purchasing of inventory;
- Provide personnel administration clerical support services within the component: Keep and maintain a leave and attendance registers for the component, keep and maintain personnel records in the component;
- Provide financial administration support services in the component: Liaise with stakeholders to receive and review Community Safety Partnership Funding (CSPF) reports and payments, process CSPF payments.
Additional Information
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting.
- These candidates will be required to do practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests.

Remuneration
- R237 453 - R279 708 per annum (Salary Level 5)
