Purpose

  • The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a support the administration and coordination of departmental transport in line with policies while providing general administrative services.

Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
Skills & Competencies

Knowledge and understanding of the following:

  • Clerical duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics;
  • Legislative framework governing the Public Service;
  • Working procedures in terms of the working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Render Transport Administration and Fleet Management Support;
  • Provide supply chain clerical support services within the component;
  • Render general clerical support services such as record, organise and maintain correspondence and data;
  • Update registers, enquiries, photocopy, distribute documents, type correspondence, and manage incoming/outgoing document registers and filing;
  • Provide financial administration support services in the component;
  • Provide personnel administration clerical support services within the component.
Additional Information
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting.
  • These candidates will be required to do practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests.
  • The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.

Remuneration
