Purpose
- Join Woolworths as a Customer Assistant: Tills and be the friendly face delivering exceptional service at our store tills.
- Based at our Corporate Stores, you'll greet customers warmly, efficiently process transactions, and promote our loyalty program and services.
- This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and personal discipline.
- You'll help maintain a safe, organised till environment and play a key part in minimising shrinkage by adhering to store policies.

Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level
- Availability and flexibility to work different shifts
- Relevant retail or customer service experience preferred

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions
- Basic selling skills and knowledge of store products and services
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and self-discipline
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently

Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, ensuring a positive and friendly shopping experience at all till points.
- Accurately process all till transactions in accordance with company policies, including various payment methods.
- Promote Woolworths loyalty programs and additional services such as utility bill payments and airtime sales.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised till area adhering to all shopkeeping disciplines.
- Ensure pricing accuracy by carefully checking scanned items against shelf tickets and resolving discrepancies.
- Minimise shrinkage by adhering to loss prevention procedures and promptly reporting any irregularities or suspicious activity.
- Demonstrate basic product knowledge to assist customers and support promotional events and special store campaigns.
- Remain calm and efficient under pressure, managing time effectively during busy periods to maintain smooth operations.
- Exhibit honesty, reliability, and professionalism in all interactions, while contributing positively to a supportive team environment.
- Attend team meetings and comply with company policies regarding attendance, dress code, and hygiene standards.
