Requirements
  • Registered or eligible to register as Professional Accountant with SAIPA, Chartered Accountant or AGA(SA) with SAICA
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BCOM) or PGDA
  • Post article experience will be advantageous
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken) (English and Afrikaans)
Skills & Competencies
  • Knowledge of IFRS for SME’s
  • Proficient in CaseWare working papers
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize duties
  • Team management skills

Technically competent in the following:

  • Independent Reviews
  • Taxation
  • Companies Act
  • IT Software including Microsoft Office and Pastel
  • SAGE VIP experience will be advantageous 
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain high performance standards while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training to develop team members and enhance performance.
  • Prepare accurate, clear, and error-free financial statements for companies, close corporations, trusts, and individuals.
  • Apply sound technical expertise to analyse financial data and provide practical insights.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients through exceptional service delivery.
  • Prepare and review tax computations in accordance with applicable legislation and professional standards.
  • Review work completed by junior team members and trainees, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality and compliance.
