Purpose

  • Reporting to the Transport Manager, responsible for overall performance of the client-based shift related to Bulk transport, execution, mine safety and compliance requirements.

Requirements
  • BCOM in Logistics and Supply Chain is essential.
  • 5-8 years’ experience in a senior Transport role in forwarding or related industry.
Skills & Competencies
  • Be able to work with a variety of people.
  • Be able to manage conflict.
  • Have a high level of numerical and data analysis skills.
Responsibilities

Reporting

  • Produce Monthly and Quarterly Transport Control Tower Performance reports for Clients and subcontractors.
  • Manage deviations and execute corrective measures.

Operations Execution

  • Manage day-to-day transport operations by allocating enough resources in line with client requirements.
  • Internal Processes.
  • Management of the effective use of the TMS systems by both the staff and suppliers.
  •  Management of business unit compliance and service providers.

People and Talent

  • Manage the Transport Control Tower team.
  •  Manage staff shifts in line with company policy.
  • Manage overtime and fatigue effectively.

Business Growth

  • Execute and process Transport Estimates, RFQ and Tenders.
