TB/ HIV Coordinator - Mthatha

Responsible for the effective implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of health interventions in TB HIV Care-supported sites to ensure integrated TB and HIV screening, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and continuity of care including data management.

National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Sciences
Registration with professional body (SANC)
Integrated TB, HIV and STI management training
Minimum 10 – 15 years’ relevant experience in TB and HIV programs
Additional training in HIV/AIDS, TB and STIs, communicable diseases and NCD management would be an added advantage
Current valid driver’s license
Clear criminal record
Ability to speak isiXhosa or/and English or any other South African language

Support rapid initiation of TB treatment in newly diagnosed PLHIV and subsequent timeous initiation of ART in HIV positive TB patients, as per guidelines
Conduct monthly DQA on TPT eligibility and initiations across data sources
Training facility Data Capturers on how to navigate the TB patient file to find all the information to be captured on Tier.Net including HIV status
Fast track vulnerable patients in facilities such as the elderly or pregnant women
Implement chronic care service delivery points that are separate from TB and/or COVID-19 screening, testing and care points in open-air environments

Infection Prevention and Control Attends training and workshops as part of staff development
Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings
Submits monthly reports to the supervisor
