Purpose
- FAMCRU is based in Tygerberg Hospital and runs under the auspices of Stellenbosch University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
- The Family Centre for Research with Ubuntu (FAMCRU) and Stellenbosch University have a vacancy suitable for confident individuals with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a range of health professionals in a highly active and often stressful environment.
- The incumbent will promote Good Clinical Practice by educating, coordinating, collaborating and providing expertise in support of investigational trials at FAMCRU.
- Appointment is initially done on a two-year contract basis with the possibility of extension, subject to availability of funding.
Requirements
- A National Senior Certificate or equivalent;
- Computer Literacy in MS Office, Excel and Access;
- Two to three years' data capturing experience within a clinical trial environment;
- Data capturing skills.
Skills & Competencies
- RedCap knowledge will be advantageous;
- Planning and organisational skills;
- Communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Capturing data efficiently from hard copy CRF's into a customised, web-based application within tight deadlines;
- Continually monitoring data accuracy;
- Liaising with clinical and laboratory staff, data managers of collaborators to resolve all data omissions, errors and queries;
- Flexibility to work across a range of research studies;
- Attending meetings and training;
- Flexibility to perform additional duties as requested.
