Purpose
- Applications are invited for a vacancy exists for a dynamic and driven Facilities Manager to join a team based at St. John's College.
- This role is ideal for a curious, data-driven thinker with a passion for Facilities Management.
- This role reports directly to the Regional Manager, in the Facilities Management Business Unit.
Requirements
- Grade 12,
- Relevant Tertiary qualification
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Good understanding of company products and service offerings in a facilities management environment
- At least five years experience in dealing with customers face to face. Ability to deal with customers at executive level.
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills;
- Self-starter / own initiative and ability to work within a team;
- Excellent command of the English language
- Strong problem solving skills, query resolution, account reconciliation and administrative skills
Responsibilities
- Contract management is key to this role, annual escalations, renewals etc.;
- Review all hard and soft Facilities Management SLA’s entered into with service providers (Internal & External);
- Implementation strategies (Internal & External) for delivery of PPM and reactive maintenance services;
- Provide and implement recommendations to improve existing organization structures and internal communication and service delivery;
- Develop effective, customer focused and pro-active relationships at all levels in the customer chain and within the Servest;
- Review and ensure compliance of Occupational Health & Safety Act and statutory requirements;
- Internal and external reporting, report production and attendance at relevant meetings, workshops and review sessions;
- Ensure Quality Systems are implemented and monitored on an on-going basis for both technical and soft Facilities Management services;
- Financial Management and reporting compliance;
- Emergency and disaster preparedness, ensuring that all staff are provided with the necessary mentoring and training
- Monitoring contract finance performance (profitability), debtor days, contract scope management and contract upselling
- Excellent interpersonal skills, effective in handling and interacting with clients, staff, colleagues and suppliers
- Customer satisfaction, retention, resolving customer queries within prescribed time limits
