Requirements
- An appropriate NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 7 years’ appropriate experience in child and youth care work post after obtaining the required qualification.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to work shifts including night duty and public holidays.
Skills & Competencies
- Understanding rules and procedures of the care Centre.
- Knowledge of relevant polices and mandates.
- Good communication (both verbal and written).
- Ability to intervene and resolve conflict.
Responsibilities
- Serve as team leader for child and youth care workers during a shift. Supervisor staff.
- Undertake inspection during a shift and report incidents and problems identified.
- Perform administrative work relevant to the job.
- Assist with care of children as the need arise.
