Requirements

• An appropriate NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 7 years’ appropriate experience in child and youth care work post after obtaining the required qualification.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work shifts including night duty and public holidays.

Skills & Competencies

• Understanding rules and procedures of the care Centre.
• Knowledge of relevant polices and mandates.
• Good communication (both verbal and written).
• Ability to intervene and resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Serve as team leader for child and youth care workers during a shift. Supervisor staff.
• Undertake inspection during a shift and report incidents and problems identified.
• Perform administrative work relevant to the job.
• Assist with care of children as the need arise.
