Excavator Operator

Secondary education/grade 10 with 12 months experience with Grader
Valid code EC1 (code 14) Driver’s license with PRDP (valid)
Hands on experience
3-5 years’ experience in operating an Excavator for road construction or maintenance of roads

Complying to safe working procedures with Grader and Maintenance truck
Maintenance work with grader on gravel roads to ensure safe driving surface of road for travelling public
Ensure the maintenance, safeguarding of grader and equipment
Report on maintenance issues
Completion of official documentation to ensure efficient administration
Supervision of workers to ensure effective management and utilisation of workers
Assist with maintenance of depots
Supervision of work done by service providers of hired machines
Daily checks of the excavator
Lubrication of machine components
