Basic Literacy
1 to 2 years driving experience required
Driver Grade 2: Valid Driver’s Licence code EC/EC1 must have valid PDP
Driver Grade 3: Valid Driver’s licence code EB and EC, plus PDP
Physical fit
Special Conditions: Driver Grade 3: Valid Driver Licence Code 14 plus proficiency certificate for operating truck mounted equipment.
All drivers require proficiency certificate to drive a municipal vehicle.

Performs specific tasks/activities at the Depot or work sites prior to and on completion of allocated maintenance assignments, by ensuring instructions and departmental procedures are complied with and OHS rules.
Completes internal transactional documentation (e.g. tally sheets, log sheet, progress report, etc.) and related forms (vehicles checklist).
Performs specific tasks associated with the operation of medium during road and stormwater drainage maintenance activities, by ensuring activities are executed in accordance with laid down instructions, guidelines, general and specific safety procedures are complied with
Basic compliance relating to PPE, the occupational Health & Safety Act and relevant ISO procedures
Correctly use and maintain tools, equipment and materials
Carries out lawful and reasonable instructions issued by immediate superior.
