EPWP INTERN – Plumber (Graduate)

The Graduate will support Artscape’s Maintenance Department within the Plumbing sub‑section.
They will form part of the Maintenance team, assisting with and taking responsibility for plumbing maintenance and repairs.
All activities must ensure compliance with safety regulations, NHBRC standards, and Plumbing regulations.

Preparedness for overtime, including call-outs during weekends, public holidays, and evening productions as required.
Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and under supervision.
Must be articulate in at least two predominant languages of the Western Cape (English, Afrikaans, IsiXhosa).
South African citizenship required.
No criminal convictions or pending cases.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Strong written communication skills in English.
Creative thinking and problem-solving ability.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills.

Assist with the repair and do preventative maintenance work to all the plumbing systems in Artscape buildings
Perform the duties as specified within the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Plumbing Regulations and the relevant legislation
Assist the Plumber in ensuring that the Artscape infrastructure is always optimally available
