Programme Coordinator (Sex Worker Program)

Overview

The Program Coordinator (Sex Worker Program) takes a lead role in coordinating, supporting operations and providing technical support in all sex work program implementing districts. The individual will be responsible for developing and guiding Psychosocial interventions within the Programme. This includes mentoring and supervising Psychosocial teams at sites to provide care and case management or interventions designed to promote health, prevent disease, and address barriers to access to healthcare. They will also be required to review difficult client cases and equip the Psychosocial teams with skills to monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to progress and/or milestones

Responsibilities

• Support effective implementation of psychosocial services within Sex Worker Program to improve ART and PrEP adherence • Conduct site support visits review performance and outreach plan activities • Provide support and supervision to social workers through case reviews • Work with site managers to create district operational plans to reach allocated Sex Worker Program targets • Support implementation of Key Populations Investment Fund (KPIF) modalities across all sites to ensure the increase HTS, PrEP and ART services to sex workers • Plan consultations with Site Managers, Regional Coordinator and Nurse Coordinators to review program performance reviews and • Coordinate and participate in site performance review meetings as well as provide guidance on deliverables • Facilitate creation of sex work peer lead outreach manual • Support implementation of bi-annual internal QA visits to all sites (based on the CDC SIMS tool) and formulating and monitoring implementation of recommendations, based on findings, using quality improvement (QI) methodology

Requirements

• Degree in Social Sciences, management or other relevant degree • Certificate in Project Coordination/Management (advantage) • Minimum of 5 years’ working in HIV prevention and/or treatment field as well as community engagement field; • Project coordination and Administration. • Experience in Key Populations Program Implementation is essential • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is mandatory
