Purpose

  • The purpose of the Human Resource Generalist position is to deliver excellence and influence the employee experience in partnership with our operational leaders by providing support and guidance, as well as by developing, innovating, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, processes and projects.

Requirements

  • HR-related tertiary qualification (NQF 6 equivalent – i.e. Diploma)
  • Computer literacy – proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Clear credit and criminal record
  • Advantageous: Experience with Sage 300 People
  • A minimum of 2-years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist/ Officer/ Advisor role.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliant interpretations and application of labour legislation
  • Ensure consistent and fair application of Code of Conduct
  • Provide extensive daily IR & disciplinary support and advice to Operational leadership teams
  • Handling employee queries and complaints
  • Inform and influence management decisions
  • Provide general advice and guidance as required
  • Maintain employee files & records where applicable
  • Facilitate the off-boarding process
  • Compile HR reports for allocated areas
  • Facilitate payroll submission and review process monthly for assigned campaigns
  • Monitor that the probationary process is followed in line with company policy
