Overview

SERVEST SECURITY , A DIVISION OF SERVEST HAS A VACANCY FOR A SENIOR OPERATIONS MANAGER BASED AT THE WESTERN CAPE BRANCH REPORTING TO THE BRANCH MANAGER. MUST BE PSIRA GRADE A REGISTERED AND FIREARM COMPETENT.

Duties and Responsibilities

Developing professional customer relationships, responding appropriately to customer requests and concerns; Ensuring client contractual requirements are adhered to; managing contractual budgets in line with financial targets; Maintaining good relations between Servest Security and the Client with regard to security services rendered; Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the Client regarding the improvement of services; Ensuring that Security staff maintains required performance at all times; Ensuring that clients remain profitable; Driving Servest Security’s internal goals; Dealing with all required administrative matters; Liaising daily with Branch management on various operational issues; Submission of weekly / monthly incident and general reports as required by Management; Ability to implement, maintain and enforce policies and procedures; Conducting after hour visits & standby duties and willing to work additional hours if needed; Managing your area of responsibility, including providing support, absent management; discipline and grievance; and recruitment activities; Effectively setting out goals and objectives for your team, including those for supervisory roles that may fall under your reporting line and structure; Driving employee engagement by personal interaction and engagement with your team in order to develop and coach them in their duties and responsibilities; Ensuring there are sufficient trained, licenced and vetted staff working at all times to meet customer and contract requirements; Ensuring contract required training and screening / vetting has been completed for all security staff; Completing risk assessments and site evaluations as well as completing monthly performance reports and billing schedules.

Minimum Requirements

PSIRA Grade A qualified Valid Firearm Competency (3 disciplines) Valid Drivers license Minimum 5 Year Security industry experience Working knowledge of Easy Roster Management System; IR/HR knowledge Manage staff scheduling to include monitoring of time and attendance, leave schedules, overtime etc. Strong Administration, interpersonal communication (verbal & written) and client liaison skills Strong planning, leadership and organisational skills Computer literate Health and Safety Willing to be available 24/7, shift/ odd hour work, public holidays and/or weekends Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license is required Conduct site visits of allocated sites and report on activities, results and recommendations
