Requirements
  • Matric
  • National Diploma: Disaster Management or Diploma in Management majoring with Disaster Risk Management or any relevant qualification majoring with disaster management at NQF Level 6.
  • At least 2 - 3 years relevant experience in Disaster Management.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
  • Prevent, mitigate and respond to disasters.
  • Implement effective and appropriate disaster response and recovery.
  • Support an integrated institutional capacity for disaster management.
  • Implement disaster response and facilitate disaster recovery and relief aid.
  • Executing specific emergency and rescue applications during emergency /disaster situation and assuming the role of responsible person on site.
  • Participate in community awareness campaigns.
  • Formulate disaster management operational plans.
  • Conduct disaster management research work.
Additional Information
  • Preference will be given to suitable qualified person in line with the employment equity act and approved employment equity plan of the district municipality.

Task Grade 10: Salary Scale

  • R254 439 – R330 276 per annum plus benefits
