Purpose
- Remuneration would be on an hourly basis depending on the experience and qualifications of the successful individual.
- The University would enter into a short term contract with the successful applicant.
Requirements
- Must be in possession of a relevant University Degree.
- At least FIVE years in the Secretariat Division in the Higher Education Sector.
- Excellent Computer Skills
Skills & Competencies
- Have excellent written and spoken skills in English
- Able to write reports and minutes of a high standard
- Must be able to work under pressure and adhere to strict time lines
Responsibilities
- Prepare agendas for all allocated meetings with the University (SPU) and the circulation there of.
- Maintain and update the Committee Membership Register.
- Draw up minutes within 3 working days of the meeting and submit to the Chairperson, and thereafter for circulation with the agenda for the next meeting at least 5 days prior to the said meeting.
- Maintain an action list for each meeting.
- Maintain a Resolution Register of all decisions taken at a meeting.
- Document Management.
- Send out reminders to members of Committees for agenda Items and outstanding documents.
- Be prepared to work long hours and to meet tight deadlines.
- Any other duties allocated by the University Registrar from time to time related to secretarial duties.
