Miner: General Mining Services

Purpose
- Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Miner General Mining Services, to be based at Glencore Mine near Kroondal, North West.
- The successful candidate will report to the Shift Supervisor Grout Plant.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
- Blasting Certificate of competency
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Medical Certificate of Fitness
- 1+ Years’ experience as a Learner Miner
- Basic construction experience including Rebar, Concrete methodology, Q Decking, Rigging and Steel Erection. Specifically Bulk Heads and chute arrangements.

- Good communication skills in English
- Construction logistics and planning.
- Must have been trained and found competent for the type of mining he/she is requested to do (eg. declines, shaft sinking, stopping, development, etc.)
- Resourceful problem solver who can work within agreed parameters
