Purpose
- The Quality & Food Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance for site.
Requirements
- Relevant Degree in in food technology, food science, biology, public health, or related field;
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in food quality control capacity within a Food Manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and working exp. ISO Standards, PRP’s GMP Food Technology Essential Understand world class manufacturing and quality practices and models
- HACCP certification experience required; ISO 22000 certification experience preferred

- Strong attention to detail in a fast paced environment;
- Ability to multi-task to simultaneously complete several projects on strict deadlines
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Food Safety & Quality Management System to be current, implemented and audited against KEFSQ, Customer and Third Party requirements and standards.
- Maintain the Food Safety Plan to be current, implemented and audited in relation to CCP’s and PRP’s.
- Verify implementation and effectiveness of pre-operational and operational sanitation inspections, process controls, environmental sampling, and quality audits on finished products.
- Drive continuous improvement through the development of and training on QA SOPs and work instructions.
- Develop, implement, maintain, validate, and continuously improve food safety programs, including, but not limited to: Environmental Monitoring, Food Defence, Allergen Control, and Internal Audit.
- Maintain the GMP Program onsite.
- Participate actively in all company meetings. Lead regularly scheduled Food Safety meetings for the site.
- Provide support to the Quality Assurance department by developing a knowledge of the business to participate in projects, internal and external audits, and other duties as assigned.
- Ability to create a culture that promotes food safety and health standards as a top priority; Addresses customer service calls and concerns related to food safety; Makes recommendations for improvement to senior management
- Conduct bi-annual internal audits on quality department personnel to ensure correct procedures and processes are implemented to evaluate product and allocate accurate grading and conduct training as needed.
