Purpose

  • Komani-Karoo Express, part of the EP Media group requires the services of an Advertising sales representative.
  • This position will be based in Queenstown and the successful candidate will be required to work remotely and service Komani (Queenstown) and surrounding areas.
  • The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years’ experience in a sales environment.

Requirements
  • Matric or equivalent qualification a minimum
  • Degree or diploma in sales and marketing would be an advantage
  • At least two years' sales experience
  • Experience in selling advertising would be an added advantage
  • Computer literacy, especially MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Valid Code 8 driver's licence and own, reliable transport essential.

  • A positive attitude and the ability to work in an extremely pressurised environment and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Initiative and the ability to clinch a deal.
Responsibilities
  • Daily canvasing of new business by selling display advertisements for the sales department
  • Ensure monthly targets are reached and even exceeded
  • Stimulate the market by means of innovative ideas and by creating tailored solutions to suit the client's advertising needs
  • Identify and capitalise on opportunities to generate additional income
  • Ad-hoc functions, openings of businesses, networking events have to be attended including after hours.
