Requirements
- With a higher certificate (NQF5) in a related field plus 2 years of experience working within the travel or hotel industry (exposure to promoting/selling products, attractions and/or experiences)
Skills & Competencies
- Good listening skills and attention to detail to create and translate our offerings into an exceptional visitor experience.
- A great team player who can play an equal part in contributing to our team efforts.
- Tech savvy: Ability to utilise social media and booking systems in support of our organisation.
- Prepared to be mobile, flexible and enjoy working at different locations.
- Committed to working long hours, on weekends and in a pressurised environment at times.
Responsibilities
- Complete travel, accommodation, and entertainment bookings.
- Execute customer queries in person, phone, and digital media, converting them into reservations and sales. Your ability to drive sales is essential.
- Set up displays, sell and re-stock merchandise.
- Keep abreast of the latest accommodation, places to visit, activities, attractions and events.
- Support membership and the Industry Services team.
