SERVEST SECURITY , A DIVISION OF SERVEST HAS A VACANCY FOR AN OPERATIONS MANAGER BASED AT THE PORT ELIZABETH BRANCH REPORTING TO THE BRANCH MANAGER. MUST BE FIREARM COMPETENT AND IN POSSESSION OF A RELEVANT TERTIARY QUALIFICATION.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintaining good relations between Servest Security and the Client with regard to security services rendered
Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the Client regarding the improvement of services;
Ensuring that Security staff maintains required performance at all times;
Ensuring that clients remain profitable;
Driving Servest Security’s internal goals;
Dealing with all required administrative matters;
Liaising daily with Branch management on various operational issues;
Submission of weekly / monthly incident and general reports as required by Management;
Ability to implement, maintain and enforce policies and procedures;
Conducting after hour visits & standby duties and willing to work additional hours if needed.
PSIRA Grade A qualified; Clear criminal record
Relevant Tertiary Qualification
Firearm Competency (3 disciplines)
Accredited Security Management qualifications;
Minimum 5 years’ security industry experience in a managerial role;
Working knowledge of Easy Roster Management System;
Manage staff scheduling to include monitoring of time and attendance, leave schedules, overtime etc.;
Staff management experience;
IR / HR knowledge;
Administration, interpersonal communication and client liaison skills are required;
Strong planning, leadership, organisational skills;
Good interpersonal and communication skills essential;
General computer literacy (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook); Experience in report writing.
Own reliable transport and valid driver’s licence is required.
Conduct site visits of allocated sites and report on activities, results and recommendations;
