Overview
SERVEST SECURITY, A DIVISION OF SERVEST HAS A VACANCY FOR A MARKETING COORDINATOR REPORTING TO BID MANAGER. MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A MARKETING ROLE. MUST HAVE A THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF MARKETING ELEMENTS.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, managing, implementing & measuring marketing projects
- Proactively obtain accurate and complete information to determine the exact needs of any client and provide the correct service and products within the agreed timeframe
- Participate in the development & implementation of go to market plans.
- Manage, plan and implement marketing support projects: ISO, HR, Code of Conduct, Sales etc.
- Copywriting for mailers as well as assist with copywriting for marketing materials and other support.
- General content updates on website.
- Source relevant promotional material / gifts.
- Assist in managing the banner stock and replacement of broken items.
- Assist with researching and collecting information, as well as providing relevant insight reports for the various areas of the business.
- Conduct post implementation reviews (PIR) of each campaign to assess ROI. This includes consolidated and comprehensive monthly reporting on all Marketing and Comms activities.
- Plan manage and implement events (internal and external).
- Develop and maintain relationships with peers, management, agencies and key stakeholders within the business.
- Build credible, long-lasting relationships with clients, suppliers, colleagues to ensure that business requirements are always met efficiently, on time and on budget
- To provide all supporting documentation and data for all reports required, within the agreed timeframes
- Accurately complete all project reports and ensure that they are up-to-date at all times
- Effectively source the best service providers to produce the correct product, of the right quality, at the best possible rate within the agreed timeframe and at the required standard
- Manage procurement of internal vs external resources and capabilities to optimise profitability, save costs and create efficiencies, wherever possible
- Exposure to social media, social media marketing
- Creative brainstorms around marketing content
- Research content for social media channels for the company
- Assist all staff with tasks that support the growth and sustainability of the company, including administration, coordination, control or new business development initiatives
- Assist with the compilation of high quality, innovative bids and proposals.
- Tender administration and coordination with ownership of bid submission and ensure 100% on time delivery of the bid/proposal.
- Ensure compliance and conformity with the Bid/proposal request.
- Liaison with potential customers/customers on technical requirements and/or clarifications on bid/proposal documents.
- Conduct research into potential opportunities.
- Contact clients to get feedback on submitted proposals.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a marketing role
- Proven experience as a Marketing Coordinator or similar role
- Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
- Exceptional analytical, communication and writing skills
- Well-organised and detailed orientated
- Proactive & self-starter

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Own transport
