Purpose
- Provide effective administrative support in order to maximise MBSA business through marketing and administrative tasks to support the overall success of the company and in compliance to the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E. tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations.
- All activities will be done in compliance with the Company's Integrity Code and other relevant policies.
Requirements
- Matric + National Certificate in Marketing /Communication / Marketing Management
- 2-3 years’ hands on experience in the relevant field.
Skills & Competencies
- MS Office suite knowledge (100% computer literate)
- A very good command of the English language
Responsibilities
MBC Events support:
- Plan, manage and execute events as set out in the event process, time schedule, budget and corporate standard to deliver a successful event.
- Meet all the event owner's requirements including regular feedback and update reports.
- Events must be in line with Marketing strategy and brand positioning.
- Events to be in line with brand strategy and positioning
- Event to be in line with Mercedes-Benz image and standards
- Feedback reports from event owners / customer
- Events to be in line with all compliance, legal and purchasing requirements
- Events to be on time and in line with budget allocations
- Branding. Strategic brand positioning, brand activation plan (layout) & brand visibility
Event Calendar:
- Continuously update the event calendar for MBC on a weekly basis
- Publish the updated calendar on the intranet on a weekly basis
- Distribute the updated calendar to the event & sponsorship team on a weekly basis
EBP Administration:
- Create EBP’s, follow up and forward PO number to supplier, confirm and follow up with Accounts to ensure supplier payment is done timeously.
- Keep a monthly / annual log of EBP expenditure for the event and sponsorship department
- Keep a monthly/ annual log of all sponsorship expenses
- Print copies of the monthly overhead variance reports and distribute to the departmental manager.
Sponsorship and FOTB (PR) Administration:
- Daily reviewing of sponsorship requests, including evaluation against the sponsorship strategy, responding in a timeous manner, logging all requests in line with the sponsorship management process.
- Draft and send out professional responses in line with existing templates.
- Draft and send contract renewal requests to the Legal department
- Administration and tracking of sponsorship agreements to ensure timeous conclusion and logging on the Daimler database
- Provide written weekly status updates on sponsorship requests, via the Events & Sponsorships team status sheet.
- Set up monthly and quarterly sponsorship forums for internal stakeholders.
- Display a good understanding of MBSA’s sponsorship strategy in order to effectively evaluate sponsorship requests and provide accurate feedback.
- Display a good understanding of the Mercedes-Benz’s Sponsorships Policy.
