Job Description

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our department. We are looking for talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a Packaging Engineer role, which is based in CCBSA Devland. The successful candidate will report directly to the Packaging Engineer in Devland. KEY PURPOSE Co-ordinate, coach and control the activities of the level one maintenance teams in the production environment and to provide specialist technical advice to ensure maximum equipment availability

Key Duties & Responsibilities

KEY OUTPUTS • Provide a superior maintenance service to production Plan co-ordinate and control maintenance activities and resources to ensure that a high quality, safe service is provided Arrange and manage specialist contractors to perform specific tasks required in the plant that fall outside the scope of Engineering Artisan Conduct plant walk-abouts and submit job cards aimed at rectifying problems observed to improve safety and housekeeping Manage the planned maintenance backlog to keep it within limits Actively maintain continual, close liaison with main customers to ensure that the service provided meets their need on an ongoing basis • Management of subordinates • Best operating practice and wcm Develop and implement the PA aspects of BOP in relative section Support the total BOP effort including PC & PM Administer area gap list and manage process together with section manage • Maintenance finance Prepare annual maintenance budgets Control and use allocated financial resources to ensure optimum usage of limited maintenance funds • Production team support Provide pro-active support to level 1 SBU's and level 3 teams As member of level 2 team, support all team goals • Spares and supplies Maintain relationship with key suppliers Investigate and evaluate alternative key suppliers, or alternative spares Specify minimum stock levels of spares in conjunction with stores, projects or production personnel Manage repairable stores issue items • Source of specialist engineering knowledge KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES • Management skills - planning, coordinating, leading, etc. • People management - conflict handling, team coaching, etc. • Ability to interact confidently with others on all levels • Ability to work effectively in a Team • Good interpersonal skills • Initiative, drive and self confidence • Motivated self-starter

Skills, Experience & Education

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE • N6/S4 Mechanical diploma • Qualified artisan-passed relevant trade test • PC Literacy at appropriate level • Reasonable level of computer literacy • Good understanding of BOP, especially World Class maintenance principles • 5 years’ experience as qualified Fitter.
