Purpose
- An exciting opportunity exists at Corporate Office for an experienced and skilled professional to fulfil the Electronics Engineer role within the Information Technology division.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (3 years - 360 credits) – Electronics Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Science / Informatics
- 6 years Operational Information Technology / IT Coordination experience is essential
- 1-2 years Supervisory IT experience is essential
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license

- Design, Setup Installation, Integration and configuration of the following IT Electronic Services systems and solution: CCTV – Analytics and Facial recognition. Perimeter Intrusion detection System, etc.
Responsibilities
- Ensure system uptime.
- Reduce impact of outages and incidents caused by poor configuration management, lack of maintenance.
- Ensure that all systems and systems components are proactively monitored so that issues are identified and resolved before they impact systems users
- Prepare tender board submissions; manage supplier metrics and SLA's.
- Ensure that all contracts are in place.
- Distribute documents to obtain approval.
- Arrange and Facilitate meeting between IT, business, and service providers.
- Compile RFP evaluation criteria
- Ensure all documentation is available and stored in safe location.
- Assist with business and financial planning.
- Implement cost saving initiatives.
- Develop work-around alternatives to problems.
- Provide effective service delivery.
- Engage proactively with stakeholders
- Adhere and enforce compliance to all policies and procedures
- Reporting
- Submit reports within required timeframe.
- Co-ordinate and consolidate compliance reports.
- Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organizational standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Put measure to prevent audit findings.
- Implement service requests.
- Meet with suppliers to discuss value add and performance weekly and monthly.
- Plan, schedule, supervise and coach subordinate activities within processes or services to achieve efficiency and quality goals.
- Develop and submit reports on system performance and availability.
