Requirements
  • Grade 12 on NQF level 4. 
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience, related to duties and responsibilities.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Access control:

  • Responsible for electronic access control systems.
  • Request card division to upload access for both students and staff.
  • Assist lecturers with the use of technological aids in lecture venues (coordinate between ICT and lecturers).

General maintenance and administration:

  • Be on standby duty for emergencies every other day/night as well as weekends.
  • Coordinate the daily functioning of caretakers and messengers and provide support on logistical matters.
  • Supervise daily locking and unlocking of building, security, maintenance requests, etc.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building’s furniture and equipment.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair by formal reporting faults.
  • Handle assets related enquiries (disposal/tender).
  • Monitor and report cleanliness within the faculty.
  • Report on HEMIS space utilisation.
  • Diverse tasks that may present themselves from time to time.

Salary

  • The annual remuneration package, including benefits is: R301 475.48 – R378 285.65 depending on the budget available for the position, experience and qualifications.
