TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally?recognised?non-profit?organisation. TB HIV Care provides health care services throughout South Africa to both the general population and communities at increased risk for HIV and TB, including adolescent girls and young women, inmates in correctional centres, sex workers and people who use drugs. Purpose of the position To support the provincial operations and ensure establishment or revival of the provincial project management room (nerve centre/war room). Works closely with the Senior Manager (HIV/AIDS &STI) Directorate DOH for monitoring of performance against 95-95-95 cascade, plays a critical role in steering the implementation process towards epidemic control and coordinate the reporting process of all facilities including Siyenza /Phuthuma facilities across the province. Coordinate and strengthen processes to ensure proper implementation of HIV/AIDS and PMTCT clinical guidelines for improved management of ART patients. Collaborate routinely with all relevant officials and stakeholders to ensure that data visualisations resonate with key stakeholders, analyse, address information needs and communicate effectively. Supports enhancements towards a data and results driven culture to improve the quality of planning, monitoring and evaluation specifically the use of data for planning and making informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Increase provincial support technical assistance to districts and implementing partners through coordinating weekly and monthly review nerve centre meetings of HAST indicator performance, identifying gaps, analyzing and addressing bottlenecks towards reaching the provincial strategic goals and targets for HIV and TB. • Increase provincial support technical assistance to districts and implementing partners through coordinating weekly and monthly review nerve centre meetings of HAST indicator performance, identifying gaps, analyzing and addressing bottlenecks towards reaching the provincial strategic goals and targets for HIV and TB. • Review data submitted from districts and follow up with districts on delays or non-submission. • Identify poor performing districts and provide feedback to the districts on performance and action items. • Provide appropriate support to districts that are consistently underperforming. • In collaboration with Provincial support partner, THCA, consolidate best practices and tools across districts and partners for policy recommendations and scale across the province • In collaboration with the EC PDoH and Regional Training Centre, identify training needs and strengthen the capacity of District Managers, Operational Managers and health care workers (HCWs) including training of district staff on indicators and data management • Strengthen the collaboration between DoH, implementing partners, communities, civil society organizations, and all public and private care providers for TB and HIV services at provincial and district level.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing or related • Postgraduate Diploma in public health sciences, health information sciences, nursing science, social sciences or statistics • 5 years’ experience in HIV/AIDS, TB and STI programme management • Advanced level of proficiency in Ms Office packages • Ability to travel within the Eastern Cape region and beyond • Valid driver’s license • Proficiency in English, isiXhosa or any other South African Languages • Clear criminal record
